Its all in the light.

I was reading a book a while back on creative digital photography. There was a chapter about  learning the Exposure Basics. I found that learning exposure does save you a lot of heart aches when you’re  starting out. Its just that   what you see in the LCD is not always what you will find when you download to print or to  your computer. When I go out on a shoot  outdoors  doing mar cos or doing some scenic shoots I like to bracket my shots.  I have been using a Canon 20 D  Not the camera of my dreams but it has given me some great pictures. Bracketing shots maybe 1 step under and 1 step over gives you a better chance that your shot will have something you are looking for. A lot of digital cameras have built in metering and that’s a good thing but I still like to have a independent light meter especially for indoors. It’s kind of like going to another doctor for a second opinion, something to think about when creating that shot.  Ronthecamman.

Back in the 35 mm days it was wonderful to have a way to keep those memories in photographs.

But with the film there was the problem of inserting the film in the camera, which wasn’t too much of a problem unless you ran out of shots and were going to miss out on that special moment in between the loading of the film.

But don’t go thinking that I totally gave up on film. I still love my 35 mm Canon but when I started using digital it was so cool not to have to load every 24 frames and even though they have there differences they are very much the same.

But with the cool features of digital, like auto bracketing and larger memory media you can go all day and not have to worry about missing a moment.

So my friend for a photographer it’s a whole new world out there and it’s getting better with every passing day. And with a few tricks you can be amazed at what you can do with digital photography. So get to know your camera and open your Creativity and you too will be amazed.

The natural bridge cave in Texas  getting the shots was a challenge in itself the lighting was very low and had no mono or tripod. But even still came out with some fairly good pics. Checkout the photos
